Great update to iHome
This is a great update to the iHome alarm clock and speakers for the iPod or iPhone. The sound is great from the speakers, the FM radio does pretty well for a small radio, the brightness of the display has a good selection of brightness levels from bright to off. This was a good update from the older iHome as now I can sleep with it facing me.

Works great with an iPod Touch
I don't use an iPhone with this, but with the Touch it works great. I have my Touch in a slim case and it fits snugly in the cradle. The speakers have good sound for a clock radio (much better than the iHome versions made for iPod only).

The dual alarm system is nice, and the whole system feels like it was put together well and with good materials. Can't say the same for a lot of the crap I compared it to when shopping around. The numerals on the clock are big enough for geezers like me who wear glasses - as I can read the time at night without them.

The clock illumination can be too bright at night, but all you have to do is tap the snooze bar and it dims (4 brightness levels?). For the price and performance, I don't think there is a better deal on the market today.

Exactly what I needed
I received the IHome IP99BR about three weeks ago. I've used it as an alarm clock, for charging my Iphone and listening to the ipod portion of the iphone. Every night the iphone charges on the IP99BR. There has been no hint of interference from the iphone.

This was my major concern, and other reviewers frankly scared me. But this has not been a problem at all for mine. I am pleased with the sound from this machine. It's not a top line stereo, but it's far better than the typical clock radio. I heartily recommend this device.
